The development practice can enrich itself from research approach. Parivartan intensive as well as integrated field experience places it in a privileged position to focus on developing and collating reliable research that can inform public policy.
Our research is guided by the following objectives:
- Understanding and analyzing of organizational strategy to invest in capacity building of local personnel,
- Understanding of socio-cultural norms that hinder community participation (Understanding of socio-cultural norms that impact community participation)
- Demonstration of implementation models with potential for scale
- Collaboration with research institutions and civil society organizations to develop research outcomes.
Inspired by these objectives, Takshila Educational Society has played an instrumental role in setting up of the Patna center of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). The center seeks to undertake research on areas that are unique to the state of Bihar. Additionally, Parivartan has offered summer internships to students from Central University of Bihar (CUB), Patna as part of their credit requirement towards fulfillment of 2 years MA program in development studies.
