Parivartan emanated from the idea of a space that could host cultural and awareness programs. In October 2011, Parivartan hosted the first SPIC MACAY Rural School Intensive (RSI) wherein more than 300 rural students from 30 districts of Bihar participated in a six day residential program.

Sanjiv Kumar is an educator and proponent of literature, social development, and the arts. He studied at Sir Ganesh Dutt Patliputra Senior Secondary School, Patna and obtained bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Patna University. He found his purpose through Takshila after brief stints in banking, real estate and export sectors. Indian classical music, architecture, cultural travel and biographies are among his personal passions. An ardent believer of investing time, resources and collaborative efforts on ideas worth spreading and sustaining for the people, he stays on a perpetual quest for inspiring ventures.
